Technical Manager / Head of Lighting

Our client is a global events services company. They are expanding their head count and are looking for aTechnical Manager – Head of Lighting to join the team.

The Head of Lighting is a specialised professional responsible for maintaining and enhancing the technological standards and capabilities of the lighting department. Key functions include understanding market positioning, evaluating inventory suitability, monitoring technological advancements, managing manpower, setting performance standards, providing technical advice, attending client meetings, optimising resource scheduling, and ensuring project profitability. They also oversee training programs, promote personal development, manage individual and team performance, participate in recruitment, and ensure adherence to health and safety standards. The role aims to maximise departmental potential while fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement.

Requirements:-

• Extensive expertise in the production and event industry

• Demonstrated track record and years of experience in lighting at an advanced level

• Advanced knowledge of lighting technical equipment

• Highly specialized technical experience

• Proven leadership qualities with practical experience

• Strong management, planning, and organizational skills

• Financial and commercial understanding

• Deep market knowledge and technology proficiency

• Competency in MS Office applications (Word and Excel)

• Proficient in written and spoken English
